New Telemarketing codes of conduct - Use of automated dialing systems

ASML has published a supplement to the Association’s Code of Conduct. The supplement outlines necessary considerations when calling consumers with an automated system. Specifically, silent calls, callback information and visible numbers are discussed.

The supplement is effective 1. February 2010 and is a compulsory requirement for the Members of the Association.

Top Finnish loyalty marketers index is ready for a new year

ASML and Avaus Consulting, a prominent loyalty marketing consulting agency, published a list of the top 53 loyalty marketers in Finland in 2009. The research was met with significant media interest and will be followed by a new round in spring 2010.


Results of the first round were surprising. The highest levels of customer loyalty were in banking and e-commerce. The lowest levels were in airlines and electricity. The overall winner in 2009 was Ålandsbanken, followed by Alko, S-Pankki, Verkkokauppa.com and Osuuspankki. The top ten contained five banks and two e-commerce marketers.


The data collection was conducted by TNS Gallup. Over 2400 consumers were surveyed and only responses from previous customers were assessed. A more complete report is available in Finnish. Further information is also available from Teemu Ylikoski.

Kontakti

The best of interactive marketing in Finland - Kontakti kicks off

ASML’s annual competition Kontakti is the venue for top-level direct marketing and customer loyalty programs. The winner last year was the viral marketing campaign for Redcats Nordic (Ellos). The winning campaign is tactical and relevant, and successful in increasing sales directly. The economic distress was visible in the competition as well: sales driving, agile, and short-term focused programs were highly prominent.
