Mailing and telephone preference services

These are also known as "Robinson Lists". Their purpose is to refrain from sending addressed direct mail or making promotional phone calls to consumers, who have disclosed their will not to receive either of the mentioned forms of advertising / sales.

How to register  in the mailing Preference Service (consumers)

In every Finnish post office there are pre-printed postcards in Finnish, reading "Osoitteellisen suoramainonnan kielto". Fill in the card and mail it (no postage required). Persons 18 years and above need to fill in their own card, minors can be added in the card with their parents names. Your data will then be added in the Mailing Preference Service list and within three months you should not get any more addressed direct mail from the Finnish Direct Marketing Association member companies. If you move to a new address, you need to fill in another card.

How to register in the Telephone Preference Service (consumers)

The Service will not affect sending or receiving SMS (text message) marketing, as SMS marketing requires your prior permission. If you wish to stop receiving SMS marketing messages, please send an 'opt-out' request to the company involved.
